Questions Answered
Tree Service FAQ
How often should my trees get looked at?
For most Mansfield yards, once a year is plenty — ideally in February or early March ahead of the trees push fresh growth. If you've got older post oaks or large pecans, we including to swing by twice a year since oak wilt and pecan scab move fast and catching them early saves the tree.
Do you do commercial homes or only houses?
Both. We do single-tree backyard projects and we preserve office complexes and multi-tenant residences around Tarrant and Johnson counties. We carry commercial liability coverage and can set up recurring service with property managers.
What kinds of trees do you work on most?
Around Mansfield it's post oak, live oak, red oak, cedar elm, pecan, crape myrtle, and bald cypress — in that order. Every one has its own pruning quirks and its own set of diseases to watch for, and we've worked on every of them long enough to recognize the difference.
Is your staff actually certified?
Yes. We have ISA-certified arborists on the staff and we maintain the certifications current. It's not a marketing line — it's what keeps us from making the kind of cuts that ruin a tree three years down the road.
Can you project with my HOA?
Yes. Mansfield HOAs — and the ones in Southlake and Colleyville particularly — have distinct rules on tree height, sidewalk clearance, and which species are allowed. Deploy us the guidelines and we'll make sure the project lines up with them, and provide you paperwork whenever the HOA wants it.
About This Service
More About Tree Service
We're a Mansfield-situated outfit, and tree work in North Texas isn't like tree job anywhere else. The clay cracks open in August, trees drink for their lives each June, and every spring delivers another round of hail that rips canopies up. Mansfield Tree Trimming manages the whole arc of maintenance for the species that actually thrive here — post oak, live oak, red oak, cedar elm, pecan, bald cypress, and all crape myrtle we can save from being butchered. Our project starts with a walkthrough. We look at soil compaction, root flare exposure, early signs of oak wilt, hypoxylon canker, and any structural defect that's going to fail the next time a 65 mph gust comes through. From there we set jointly a plan — pruning, fertilization, pest job, cabling should a stem needs it, soil aeration whenever the ground under the drip line has turned to brick. No package deals, no bundles you don't call for. Small yards with a single tree and multi-acre properties obtain the same honest inspection. We're ISA-trained, entirely insured, and we own the tools — no subbed-out crews showing up in unmarked trucks.
